Edwina Shaw

Since 2002, Edwina Shaw has been writing and publishing work in Australian and international journals, including Best Australian Stories 2014. Her novel, Thrill Seekers (Ransom Publishing UK) based on her brother’s battle with adolescent onset schizophrenia, was shortlisted for the 2012 NSW Premier’s Award for New Writing. Her chapter book, In the Dark of Night (Raven Books UK), was selected for the Summer Reading Club 2016/17. Her screenplay Dear Madman, is currently under development with Screen Queensland. She teaches creative writing at UQ, yoga to dance students at QUT, and runs innovative workshops and retreats combining both.
