COOKING CLASS WITH EMMA ELLICE-FLINT @ SAUCE KITCHEN

Emma Ellice-Flint, from Emma’s Nutrition based in Sydney, is a Nutritionist, Chef and Author. Emma is passionate about eating for mental health, gut health and vitality! “Nourishing my mind with a nutritious diet enhances my mood and boosts my wellbeing.”  Very generously she has offered her time in Toowoomba for the Unleash The Beast event on World Mental Health Day, where she will be teaching us how to cook delicious food that also gives your body the nutrition it needs - dishes that not only taste fantastic and are easy to make, but also help support your physical and mental health.  

Emma says, “There’s compelling evidence about the links between mood and food, especially from research at Monash University in Victoria.”

In this class you will learn which foods help benefit the gut and why that has an impact on mental health and energy - dishes that are simple to create and packed with flavour.  Emma will discuss the joyful effect from the act of cooking and eating mindfully.

You will make and eat:

Warm Salad of Chargrilled Zucchini, Leeks and Asparagus with Crispy Capers, Pumpkin Seeds and Soft Goats Cheese

Roast Purple Onions, Butter Beans, Rainbow Chard and Broccolini with a Fresh Tarragon Dressing

Hot Smoked Salmon with Avocado, Green Beans and a Basil Dressing

Triple-Layered Raspberry Brownies
